Sheriff&nbsp;<strong>Billy Woods<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocala.com\/news\/20200811\/marion-county-deputies-ordered-not-to-wear-masks\">informed the department of his decision in an email<\/a> on Tuesday (August 11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ban on face masks also applies to visitors to the sheriff&#8217;s office, who will be asked to remove them before entering.The decision comes one day after the mayor of Ocala vetoed an ordinance that requires people to wear a mask inside businesses.
