Isla has been with the Moody family since she was a baby and in a Zoom hearing, she became a family member forever.

A two-year-old girl who was in foster care for 700 days has been officially adopted by her family in Jacksonville, Florida. The Moody family has cared for Isla since she was an infant and have been waiting to have her adoption hearing, but courts were closed because of coronavirus restrictions.

But they just made things official in a Zoom call and social distancing guidelines kept the Moody’s from being able to throw a party, but their loved ones gave the family a special celebration. Friends from their foster care community did a drive-by parade with balloons, posters and streamers decorating their cars as they cheered for the Moodys.

“We were blown away at how this group has loved us so well along our journey,” mom Cayela Moody explains.
