Pandemic numbers in the U.S. overall continue to head in the wrong direction.  The U.S. has now reported over 100,000 cases every day for 32 consecutive days — more than a month — and over 200,000 daily cases for the last three consecutive days. In the last week, the U.S. has also reported more than 1.3 million COVID-19 cases, more than any other week on record. That means approximately 129 Americans are testing positive every minute.  In the last month, the average number of daily cases has doubled, with the U.S. currently averaging over 186,793 new coronavirus cases every day, the highest the average has been since the beginning of the pandemic.
