JOE BIDEN came through on his promise to pick a woman as his running mate.  Yesterday he announced that Senator KAMALA HARRIS will share the Democratic ticket with him.

In a Tweet he called her, quote, “A fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants.”

And Kamala Tweeted that Biden can, quote, “unify the American people because he’s spent his life fighting for us.  And as president, he’ll build an America that lives up to our ideals.”

Harris served as the district attorney of both San Francisco and the state of California before being elected to the Senate in 2016.  She ran against Biden for the 2020 Democratic nomination before dropping out.

Kamala’s mother was Indian, and her father is Jamaican . . . both of which, along with being a female”, will be firsts if she becomes vice president.

MAYA RUDOLPH has played Kamala on “Saturday Night Live”, and she’s looking forward to going back now.
